What We Do
01.
— Education to All
PRAYAS of the best efforts is to bring back the drop outs and children of underprivileged community into main stream education with the following measures:-
Learning centers for dropout/laggard : 3 learning centers under the system are running that are situated in two places one in the Howrah Corporation and two centres at Shyampur – I Blocks of Howrah district with an enrolment of 105 students.

— PRAYAS SUJAN
Sponsor a child means to help him to become a dutiful man in all respect and building his career for future life. In this respect PRAYAS will take the responsibility in credible manner. So when you sponsor a child with PRAYAS you can expect it may discharge the duty effectively by ensuring they get access to quality education, proper nutrition, healthcare and protection. Your sponsorship also helps poor and vulnerable communities to build a more enabling context for their children to be protected and cared for.

— Empowering Adolescent
In the last 4 years, PRAYAS NABIN DOOT (Adolescent Clubs/ PND) has emerged as a key change-making organization focused on improving the condition of adolescents in the country. At PND, we design solutions that mobilize, equip, educate and empower adolescents to meet their full potential. We strive to create an ecosystem where all adolescents can demand and get their due entitlements. Our work addresses the challenges that they face in our country at various stages in their lives. At the core of our work and approach is the belief that gender equality is essential for development and democracy.

— Women Empowerment
Specific thematic interventions will not be successful unless they are grounded in the community. PRAYAS strategy in the regard has been to facilitate and support the creation of women-led institution which leads all development efforts in their specific geographies. PRAYAS work to create these institutions to strengthen them and build their capacities.

— Health
In July 2018, PRAYAS has started a project on it which is very important to take care for providing Community Based Health Care Support (Formerly BHCS) to local people by undertaking a concrete program to this direction that also making side by side with the system prevailing in Govt. Health infrastructure by assisting Govt. system and to take measure if any gaps of health services and to provide additional as well through awareness program, organizing workshops involving target community, convening meeting ensuring participation of both Govt.

— Livelihood
- To promote cultivation of crops in scientific process and train the cultivators towards profit oriented methods.
- To inspire poor rural women for rearing of cattle and birds (poultry and duck) for their subsistence.
- To arrange vocational training for skill development of farmers towards organic farming.

— Environment
At present the main global issue is environment because the lives on earth depend on nature and natural resource violation of the norms of environment is destruction and extinction of the entire civilization. Keeping it in mind all nations sit together and find out the way how to curb pollution of environment. As a responsible organization we cannot ignore our role to take part in different environmental issues like afforestation, campaign against use of plastic, sanitation, proper disposal of garbage and sewage etc.

— Social Inclusion
In the social lives of the majority people in the society do not access to all facilities and discrimination still exists. Our effort is to eliminate these inequalities as much as possible within our capacity.
Objectives:
- To aware consumer rights of general people.
- To eliminate the condition of economic distress by way of introducing different programs of Livelihood security.

—Library
The library of PRAYAS is being highly acclaimed by local people. This library helps readers of books. So they regularly visit the library and borrow books of their choice. Students of different academic category visit the library collect data and borrow the books if necessary reader members are highly satisfied.
